Humanity is going through one of the darkest periods in its history.
What is happening in the Gaza Strip has turned into a human tragedy, where international law, human rights, and the most fundamental moral values are being trampled underfoot. As the Association of Local Authorities, we will not remain silent in the face of this systematic destruction and genocide; we will continue to stand on the right side of history—beside the oppressed and those who struggle for justice.

For years, Israel’s inhumane attacks have brutally massacred tens of thousands of innocent civilians—most of them women and children. Hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, and residential areas have been indiscriminately targeted. Access to life’s most basic necessities—food, water, medicine, and energy—has been deliberately blocked, creating a conscious policy of mass starvation and epidemic spread. These acts constitute a blatant violation of international law and the gravest of war crimes.

As an association of local administrations, we follow with deep concern the impossible conditions faced by our colleagues—the local government employees in Gaza. We pay our deepest respect to all Palestinian municipal workers who continue to serve their communities in a city where infrastructure has been destroyed, personnel martyred, and resources exhausted. They are the living symbols of human dignity.

As the Association of Local Authorities, we declare that:

• We strongly condemn the genocide carried out by Israel in Gaza, as also defined by international courts.

• We call upon all international organizations, particularly the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to take immediate action and impose effective sanctions to end this atrocity.

• We support the Republic of Türkiye’s Government in its firm and honorable stance on the just cause of the Palestinian people, and we stand by this position with full solidarity.

• We urge local governments, civil society organizations, public institutions, and international bodies around the world to raise their voices against this oppression, support humanitarian efforts, and demonstrate solidarity with Palestine through diplomatic means.

Until the dark clouds disperse and Gaza once again rises free and dignified, we will continue to stand beside the Palestinian people and their honorable struggle. Justice and freedom are the most fundamental human rights—and they will, inevitably, prevail.
